A twofold clothing label emanating from the shared love for fashion between a pair of twins, SIX5SIX Street is well on its way to headlining the catalogue of streetwear originating from India. Having made a mark within the first year of launching and with several successful drops in its trajectory, SIX5SIX Street actually started as a sportswear label and eventually paved its way to become what it is today, a brand true to its philosophy. Back in 2019, when the brand was conceived, the Indian streetwear landscape had not proliferated as much. Launching a capsule collection at the time, especially in an unfamiliar space, was a bold move that the sibling duo seamlessly conquered. Their first drop was called “The Global Traveller” and reflected their sensibilities vis-a-vis an ongoing humanitarian crisis. With this they marked the beginning of what stands today as a globally recognised Indian brand covered by the likes of Vogue and Voices of Fashion.
One of the first drops of the label was named “Question Everything” in line with the founder duo’s rationalism in life. Another drop, prudently labelled “Humanity in the Digital Age” investigated our inordinate dependence on screens, technology and social media. Since then, with drops labelled “Uniform” channeling old-school varsity scanned from a fresh lens, “Radical Optimism” and more, SIX5SIX Street Street has maintained their remarkable aesthetic by delicately balancing the line between style and statement. Each drop and its inimitable approach to design and style, speaks volumes about what the brand brings to the table. It’s safe to say that both the arms of the Delhi- based brand, street and sports apparel, are steadily progressing, having already made an indelible mark on the newcomers locale of the industry.
